JCI Helsinki organized a lively virtual networking event on the 19th of February that fused not only knowledge exchange, a sense of community, but also entertainment.
With the JCI European Conference in Oulu on taking place in June 2024, the virtual gathering provided a perfect opportunity for JCI Basel to virtually meet and connect with the Jaycees of Helsinki. It laid the groundwork for building relationships that could potentially be extended and solidified during and after the conference, setting the stage for a successful twinning initiative between JCI Basel and JCI Helsinki.
One of the highlights of this event was the interactive Kahoot session, where JCI Basel was quizzed on interesting aspects of Finland. A total of 20 questions covered a range of topics, from the number of saunas in the country to Finland’s claim to fame as the nation with the most metal bands per capita. Attendees also discovered that Finland is a global champion in coffee consumption and were introduced to Lennu, a beloved celebrity in the Finnish context, among other fascinating facts. As an exciting incentive, a goodie bag will soon be sent to the winner of the Kahoot challenges.
The virtual networking event hosted by JCI Helsinki was a delightful mix of entertainment, knowledge-sharing, and the establishment of meaningful connections. JCI Basel departed not only with new insights into Finland’s unique characteristics but also with the promise of future collaborations and connections.
